Over two billion manat ($1.2 billion) are planned to be allocated from the Azerbaijani state budget for education in 2022, which is by 19.4 percent or 194.1 million manat ($114.2 million) more than this year, Trend reports on Nov. 10 referring to the Azerbaijani draft state budget for next year.
Some 376.8 million manat ($221.6 million) out of these funds are planned to be allocated to the preschool institutions, 87.3 million manat ($51.3 million) - to secondary specialized educational institutions, 60 million manat ($35.3 million) - to universities, 63.8 million manat ($37.5 million) - for additional education, over 1.2 billion manat ($705 million) - to other educational institutions and for holding events.
The number of students is predicted to grow by 15,893 - up to 110,834 people in Azerbaijan compared to the 2020/2021 academic year.
