BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues through the State Customs Committee (SCC) from January through March 2022 grew by 30.5 percent, or by 288.402 million manat ($169.7 million) compared to the same period in 2021, Trend reports citing the SCC of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, this figure exceeded 1.231 billion manat, or $724.5 million (593.403 million manat, or $349.26 million in 2021).
In the reporting period, state budget revenues from customs duties increased by 16 percent, or 41.81 million manat ($24.6 million) compared to the same period in 2021 and rose above 302.536 million manat ($178.06 million).
The budget revenues from VAT grew by 39.4 percent, settling at 888.079 million manat ($522.7 million), while from excise taxes – 29.19 million manat ($17.18 million), down by 18.2 percent compared to January through March 2021.
The revenues from road taxes amounted to 12.135 million manat ($7.14 million), up by 18.7 percent.
In 2021, the State Customs Committee fulfilled the forecast for state budget revenues by 111.29 percent. The amount transferred to the state budget beyond the projection amounted to 440.37 million manat ($259.19 million).
