BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. Azerbaijan's non-oil exports increased by 38.5 percent or $268.6 million from January through April 2022 (to $965.5 million) compared to the same period in 2021, Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan told Trend.
According to the center, Azerbaijani exports of fruits and vegetables increased by 23.6 percent during the specified period compared from January through April last year - up to $162.6 million.
Azerbaijan's export of chemical industry products increased 9.9 times, aluminum and products from it - by 90.6 percent, ferrous metals and products from them - by 53.3 percent, cotton yarn - by 19.8 percent, cotton fiber - by 6.8 percent compared from January through April 2021.
Azerbaijani exports of non-oil products amounted to $238.3 million in April 2022, which is 22 percent more than in the same month in 2021.
Export of food products increased by 6.2 percent and reached $51.4 million and non-food products by 27.2 percent - up to $186.9 million.
