BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 11. Azerbaijan Association of Wine Producers and Exporters plans to expand its wine exports from the second half of 2022 to early 2023, the Association’s Chairman Elchin Madatov told Trend.

According to Madatov, the traditional export markets for Azerbaijani wine products are Russia and Belarus.

"Last year, wine products were exported to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Besides, our wines were exported to Europe, China and Japan. Both the producers themselves and the association make efforts to expand the exports. Thanks to this, our wine, along with traditional markets, is exported to European countries, China, Japan, Israel, Korea, the US and other countries," he said.

Madatov also noted that business trips are gradually resuming.

"In the near future, participation in the WorldFood Moscow 2022 and Prodexpo Moscow-2023 exhibitions is planned. Various companies are also expected to participate in exhibitions to be held in Bulgaria, Germany and Italy," Madatov said.
