BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. Azerbaijan exported 232,579 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) worth $70.7 million in the first half of 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistic Committee of Azerbaijan.
In the reporting period, 67,959 tons (higher by 38 percent) of methanol worth $21.9 million (an increase of 2.2 times) was exported to Turkiye, 63,841 tons worth $18.6 million to the Netherlands (an increase by 7.7 times), 47,172 tons worth $14.2 million to Romania, 22,652 tons worth $6.7 million to Italy, 14,458 tons worth 4.6 million to Spain.
Deliveries were resumed to Egypt after a break. Azerbaijan exported 6,134 tons of methanol worth $1.6 million.
