BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Investments of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) in shares of various funds amounted to $370 million and 115 million euros in 2022, Trend reports.
These data are provided in the published annual report of the fund for 2022.
According to the report, the investments were aimed at buying shares of 11 funds.
SOFAZ invested $40 million each in shares of funds Leonard Green & Partners, Vista Equity Partners, Brookfield Asset Management, Thoma Bravo, Apollo Global Management, Clayton Dubilier & Rice, $30 million in shares of Francisco Partners, $100 million in shares of Neuberger Berman, 40 million euros each in shares of Cinven and FSI, and 35 million euros in shares of Carlyle Group last year.
SOFAZ, together with its partners, also invested $20.7 million in two joint projects in 2022.
The State Oil Fund invested $1.6 billion in the purchase of shares of 40 foreign funds, as well as $94 million jointly with 8 partners, at the end of 2022.
