BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. The production of polyethylene in Azerbaijan amounted to 101,900 tons from January through July 2023, which is 44.5 percent more than in the same period of 2022, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of the country, the production of propylene in the reporting period of 2023 amounted to 93,100 tons, which is 36.3 percent higher than in the same period of 2022.

Azerbaijan produced 134,700 tons of propylene, 134,700 tons of polyethylene, 139,800 tons of ethylene, 194,700 tons of iodine, 5.4 million cubic meters of oxygen, 534,500 tons of methanol and 23.4 million cubic meters of nitrogen in 2022.
Azerbaijan produced 146,400 tons of propylene, 164,700 tons of polyethylene, 168,400 tons of ethylene, 167,500 tons of iodine, 9.6 million cubic meters of oxygen, 378,200 tons of methanol and 22.4 million cubic meters of nitrogen in 2021.
