BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. Türkiye's Trabzon port handled 1 million tons of cargo from January through July 2023, Trend reports.
The Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure reports that during this time, ships flying the Turkish flag handled 171,854 tons of cargo through the port of Trabzon, while ships flying other flags handled 1 million tons.
From January through July 2023, the Turkish port of Trabzon handled 84,368 tons of transit cargo, according to the data.
Previously, 32 million tons of goods were transported through Turkish ports in July 2023: 2 million tons by vessels flying the Turkish flag and 30 million tons by vessels flying the flags of other nations.
Turkish ports handled 6 million tons of transit freight in July 2023.
Moreover, Turkish ports handled 227 million tons of cargo from January through July 2023: 16 million tons by Turkish-flagged vessels and 210 million tons by vessels under the flags of other countries.
Thus, Turkish ports handled 41 million tons of transit cargo from January through July 2023.
