BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 27. The volume of metal and metal products transportation through Baku Port increased by 55 percent to 327,000 tons from January through October this year, Trend reports.
The data of the Baku Port shows that metal and metal products coming to the Baku Port mainly from Kazakhstan are delivered to Türkiye and a number of European countries such as Italy, Germany and Poland through Azerbaijan.
Metal products arriving at the Baku port by ships are unloaded promptly, reloaded onto trucks and sent to the country of final destination.
The data of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan shows that production of metallurgical industry and finished metal products in Azerbaijan decreased in value terms by 25.41 percent to 913.1 million manat, which is $537.1 million (1.2 billion manat or $705.8 million year-on-year).
