BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 26. The volume of loans issued in the capital and regions of Azerbaijan grew by 3.2 billion manat ($1.88 billion), or 16.3 percent, as of November 30, 2023, year-on-year, amounting to 22.88 billion manat ($13.46 billion), Trend reports via the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The CBA's data showed that loans in the amount of 17.49 billion manat ($10.29 billion) were issued in Baku during this period, which is 3.25 times higher than the total volume of loans issued in all regions of the country.
Besides, in Baku, loans in national currency amounted to 13.25 billion manat, or $7.79 billion (75.72 percent of the total volume of loans in Baku).
Moreover, the average annual interest rate in Azerbaijan was 12.57 percent; in Baku, it was 11.07 percent.
