BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15. Azerbaijan's state budget recorded a surplus from January through February 2024, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, in the reporting period of 2024, state budget revenues exceeded 6.5 billion manat ($3.8 billion), which is 11.5 percent more than in the same period last year.
State budget expenditures reached 5.2 billion manat ($3 billion), which is 43.5 percent more than the figure for the same period in 2023.
Thus, a surplus of 1.3 billion manat ($764,000) was formed in the state budget by the end of February 2024.
Azerbaijan's nominal GDP amounted to 18.5 billion manat ($10.8 billion) in the mentioned period.

Azerbaijan's state budget revenues increased by 16 percent in 2023, reaching 35.5 billion manat ($20.8 billion). State budget expenditures reached 36.4 billion manat ($21.4 billion), which is 13.7 percent higher than the January-December 2022 period.
Thus, at the end of December 2023, the state budget had a deficit of 883.7 million manat ($519.6 million).
