Construction of Apartment Building in Baku Suspended due to Safety Violations(video)
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr U. Ismayilova / On 21 September, the Labour Inspector of the Azerbaijan Labour and Social Protection Ministry suspended the construction of an apartment building carried out by Azerbaijan's Firma Kapitol company in Baku.
According to the inspector, it took one week to carry out the inspection at the construction site.
"The inspector warned the company about violations of technical safety regulations and fined them AZN 99. But Firma Kapitol did not resolve the problem discovered by the inspector," a representative of the Labour Inspector said.
The Labour Inspector has recently suspended work in three construction sites in Baku (including the aforementioned one). The organization extended its list of construction companies to be inspected from 94 to 800, while over 900 are operating in Azerbaijan.
Some 300 new buildings are being under construction in Baku.
