Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 March / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / The initial budget of the joint project between the Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) and Industrial company Asnaf for the construction of storehouse for dry cargo and refrigerator, has been defined. It will comprise of some $20-25mln, without the expenses for premises. The participation share in the project is up to 25%, the AIC Executive Secretary, Anar Akhundov, said on 18 March.
"At present, work for the development of feasibility study of the project is underway," he said.
Akhundov said that talks with several big European companies are carried out for the purchase of equipment. "We are waiting for proposals from the companies," he said.
The storehouse and refrigerator will be constructed in Nobel Avenue of Baku.
The international financial institutions, including Islamic companies, Caspian International Investment Company, International Finance Corporation, Kuwait Finance House, have displayed huge interest in the project.
According to the estimates of the specialists, these refrigerators will be of latest quality. They will be efficient from the point of view of energy consumption.
The key users of the storehouses will be producers, exporters and importers. Next year, the same storehouses will be constructed in the region of the country, but only for the agricultural products.
The Azerbaijani Investment Company JSC (AIC) signed a Memorandum of Intention on cooperation in construction of a dried fruits storehouse and a refrigerator with Asnaf Industrial Company LLC on 29 June.
