Rate of state registration of real estate increases 6.3 percent in Azerbaijan in 2010

In 2010, Azerbaijan registered 94, 680 real estate objects, which is 6.3 percent more than the figure of 2009, the Azerbaijani State Real Estate Register Service under the State Property Committee said.
Some 28, 994 objects (1.9 percent less than the previous year) passed the initial registration, 65,686 objects passed the secondary registration (10.4 percent more than the previous year). The state registration in mortgage lending was passed by 20,517 real estate facilities, which is 41.1 percent more than the figure of 2009.
Some 38,615 objects of the total number of registered real estate objects were flat (privatization), 19,166 - private houses and villas, 31,101 - land plots, 2,688 - non-residential buildings, 1,800 - non-residential area, property complexes - 548, multi-story residential buildings - 16 and 746 - land under long-term seating.
Some 39,736 registered objects, or 42 percent, fell on the capital. Some 1,027 objects fell on Sabirabad Territorial Department of the State Real Estate Register Service.
Most of the operations on the real estate registration fell on the Absheron region (7,556 operations), Sumgait (6,601 operations), Ganja (5.101 operations) and the Lankaran city (4,508 operations).
In 2010, Azerbaijan recorded 16 new buildings, of which 10 have been recorded in Baku and 6 in the provinces (regions Naftalan, Shamkir Ujar, Zardab , Zagatala and city Mingechevir). Of these, 11 buildings have been registered for the first time and 5 for the second time.

Most of the operations on the land market have been registered in the Absheron area - 5,649 operations, or 78 percent of the total number of operations in this area.

Lankaran ranked second with 2,159 operations, or 64 percent; Salyan - 1,375 operations, or 74 percent; Masalli - 1,271 operations, or 81 percent; Shamkir - 1,023 operations, or 55 percent; Khachmaz d - 976 operations, or 56 percent; Astara - 736 operations, or 72 percent; Sheki - 655 operations, or 37 percent; Shamakhi 567 transactions, or 63 percent; and Shabran - 431 operation, or 73 percent.
