Kyrgyzstan increases imports by 13 percent

Kyrgyz exports amounted to $919.1 million between January and August 2013 and remained at the same level compared to the same period of 2012, the press-service of the republic’s government said on Wednesday.

Kyrgyz exports amounted to $919.1 million between January and August 2013 and remained at the same level compared to the same period of 2012, the press-service of the republic's government said on Wednesday.

The reduction of textile and textile products to the foreign market by 1.5 times caused a decrease of export volumes excluding gold by 0.6 percent compared to January-August 2012.

The import of commodities amounted to $3,720.4 million in January-August 2013 and increased by 13 per cent compared to the same period of 2012.

The growth of import deliveries is provided through the import of chemical and related products, cars, equipment and machinery, mineral products, as well as textile and textile products.
