Foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital down

The amount of foreign investments made in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital totalled 1.98 billion manats in January-April 2018 that is by 31.3 percent less than in the same period of 2017, says the State Statistics Committee’s report.

During the period, 81.1 percent (1.6 billion manats) of investments made in Azerbaijan’s economy accounted for foreign countries and international organizations from the UK, Turkey, Malaysia, Switzerland, Russia, Iran, the US, Japan and the Czech Republic.

In January-April 2018, the biggest volume of foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital was made in April – 592.2 million manats, and the smallest – in February (437.6 million manats).

In January-April 2018, the biggest share of foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital was recorded in February – 50.6 percent of total volume of investments, and the smallest share – in April (45.9 percent).
