Products worth 342 million manats were produced by metallurgical companies in Azerbaijan in January-May 2018, reads a report of the country’s State Statistics Committee.
The report says the volume of output of metallurgical industry increased by 18.4 percent while the production of finished goods grew twice in January-May 2018.
Azerbaijan produced 128,200 tons of fittings in January-May 2018, which is 41 percent more than in January-May 2017.
In January-May 2018, 24,300 tons of steel pipes were produced in Azerbaijan, that is by 3 percent more than in January-May 2017.
The volume of steel casting production stood at 157,000 tons in January-May 2018, which is 11.5 percent more than in January-May 2017.
Azerbaijan exported 18,458 tons of ferrous metal pipes worth $14.758 million in January-April 2018, which is by 19.6 percent more (by 35.7 percent more in money terms) than in January-April 2017.
