Investments in manufacturing industry of Kazakhstan’s Akmola region surge

In the first 10 months of 2018, investments of 225 billion tenge were attracted to Kazakhstan’s Akmola region, Kazakh media reported with reference to the Entrepreneurship and Industry Department of the region.

The share of private investments increased to 80 percent of the total volume and amounted to 178.7 billion tenge.

The strongest growth in investments was in the manufacturing industry of the region, where they rose by 84.7 percent year-on-year. There is also an investment increase of 1.5 times in the non-primary sector, where the investments in fixed assets (excluding investments from the state budget) amounted to 132.6 billion tenge.

The most significant investments were made in such enterprises as Makinsk Poultry Farm, Kazyna SR complex for the production of furniture and metal products, Tsatak Creen Energy wind power plant, as well as in the expansion of ceramic brick production at ENKI LLP, and the reconstruction and modernization of Astana Ceramic brick factory.

In total, 46 projects were launched in Akmola region this year, which created 1,515 jobs. Implementation of such major projects as the livestock complex of Bavaria Product LLP, 2nd phase of Makinsk Poultry Farm, and service center of Eurasia Group Kazakhstan LLP is underway.
