Turkey reveals February revenues from transport taxation, toll roads

Turkey’s income from taxation of vehicles and from the fees for the use of roads and bridges in February 2019 amounted to 139.4 million Turkish liras, the General Directorate of Highways of Turkey (Karayolları Genel Mudurlugu) told Trend April 1.

The General Directorate noted that the income from the use of road bridges in February 2019 exceeded 32.9 million Turkish liras, and the income from the fees for the use of roads exceeded 106.5 million Turkish liras.

"During the reporting period, a total of over 32.223 million vehicles proceeded along the roads and bridges,” the report said.

The state agency noted that in January-February 2019, Turkey’s income from the taxation of vehicles and from the fees for the use of roads and bridges amounted to 293.8 million Turkish liras.
