TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 6. Uzbekistan’s exports to CIS countries amounted to $1.7 billion from January through March 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by 6.2 percent compared to the same period last year ($1.6 billion in January–March 2023).
The country's main partners in the export of goods and services during this period were Russia (11.3 percent), China (7.1 percent), Kazakhstan (4.6 percent), Türkiye (4.1 percent), and France (3.7 percent).
Uzbekistan’s exports to Russia amounted to $720.9 million from January through March 2024. China ranks second with an export volume of $451.6 million, while Kazakhstan’s exports reached $294.8 million, followed by Türkiye - $261.9 million and France's $237.3 million.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's volume of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries reached $5 billion in the first quarter of 2024.
The country's foreign trade turnover with CIS nations climbed by 6.3 percent compared to the first quarter of 2023.
The exports totaled $1.7 billion, while imports were $3.3 billion from January through March 2024.
