ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 6. Electricity generation in Turkmenistan has been experiencing rapid growth from January through April this year, Trend reports.
According to the official source, this was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Annamamedov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He said that in the first four months of this year, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan exceeded the production plan by 11.6 percent.
Furthermore, Annamamedov added that during the specified period, the plan for the production and provision of services by the Turkmenhimiya State Concern was exceeded by 59.3 percent, the State Agency for Road Construction Management by 11.5 percent, and the municipality of Ashgabat city by 26.4 percent.
Meanwhile, in recent years, Turkmenistan has actively pursued the development of electricity production, with a focus on enhancing existing power plants and constructing new facilities.
This strategic endeavor aims to bolster the country's energy capacity, foster stable economic growth, and improve the standard of living for its populace.
