Iran's exports, imports through Bushehr province disclosed

In the first month of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), Iran's exports (including gas condensates) via borders of its Bushehr province amounted to 2.86 billion tons in terms of weight, and $1.004 billion in terms of value, Chairman of Bushehr Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization Hossein Hosseini Mohammadi said, Trend reports referring to the organization's website.

Mohammadi noted that in the reported month, compared to the same month of the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2018-March 20, 2019), exports of non-oil goods through Bushehr increased by 15 percent in terms of weight.

During the reported period, excluding the gas condensates, 2.16 million tons of goods for $639 million were exported via Bushehr's borders, which is 40 percent more compared to the same of the preceding Iranian year, Mohammadi said.

Main goods exported through Bushehr were gas condensates, petrochemicals, cement, klinker, iron ores, tomatoes, cabbages, gypsum, pistachio, almond, lettuce and granite, he added.

He further added that the main export destinations were China, South Korea, the UAE, India, Bazil, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey and Afghanistan.

In the first month of the current Iranian year, Bushehr imported over 23,000 tons of goods for $50 million, Mohammadi said. Compared to the same month of the preceding year, the province's imports decreased by 55 percent in terms of weight, and 70 percent in terms of value, he added

Some of the main imported goods were butter, bananas, black tea, equipment, spare parts for cars and truck tires, he noted.

The province mostly imported from China, New Zealand, the Philippines, India, the UAE, South Korea, Taiwan, Brazil, Sri Lanka and Canada, he said.
