Foreign companies invested over $160 million on the construction of new manufacturing capacities in Almaty region of Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to LS news agency.
Furthermore, last year over 1,500 new work places were created following the launch of these ventures.
“The list of the launched ventures includes the launch of flood-preventing engineering systems plant worth $20 million, the venture on manufacturing of cables and conductors with exclusion and cross-linked polyethylene worth $20.3 million,” the report said.
“Additionally the reconstruction and modernization of the fat and oil complex worth $33 million took place. The electric buses assembling plant worth $45.3 million was launched. Currently the construction of steel welded pipes of large diameter is underway in Almaty,” the statement said.
Furthermore, foreign companies are mainly interested in projects of services, agricultural complex, medicine, tourism and construction spheres.
