Number of Turkmen companies registered in Turkey increases

Fifty-five companies with Turkmen capital were registered in Turkey from January through December 2019, which is by seven companies more than in 2018, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) on Jan. 27.

During this period, a total capital of Turkmen companies registered in Turkey amounted to 8.5 million Turkish liras ($1.4 million). This indicator amounted to 7.4 million Turkish liras ($1.24 million) in 2018.

Most of the Turkmen companies (49) were registered in Istanbul, with the total capital of 7.3 million Turkish liras ($1.22 million).

“Four companies with Turkmen capital were registered in Turkey’s Antalya province. The total capital of Turkmen companies registered in this province amounted to 975,000 Turkish liras ($164,157),” TOBB said.

As reported, four industrial, two construction, 31 wholesale and retail companies and two tourism companies with Turkmen capital were registered in Turkey.

The remaining 16 companies with Turkmen capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.

The total capital of 31 wholesale and retail companies amounted to 5.7 million liras ($959,692).
