The foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic made up $51.1 million in January 2020, which is 9.4 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the monthly report by State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan.
The share of export in the foreign trade turnover of Nakhchivan amounted to $37 million which provided annual export growth by 0.6 percent.
The specific export weight decreased by 6.3 percent to make up 72.4 percent of foreign trade turnover volume.
Imports to Nakhchivan in the first two months of 2020 amounted to $37.04 million, which is 41.9 percent more compared to the same period last year.
The specific weight of imports in the total turnover increased by 6.3 percent to make up 27.6 percent of the total volume.
The balance in foreign trade turnover decreased by 14.7 percent, but still remained positive, amounting to $22.9 million.
Retail trade amounted to 199.4 million manat ($117.3 million), decreasing by 0.8 percent compared to January-February 2019.
