Iran's Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company sets production record

The plant of Iranian Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company (CMIC) has set a record for daily production, in the current Iranian year (starting from March 20, 2020), Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to report, on May 9, the company's plant produced 3,887 tons of steel ingots.

“This steel ingots were produced for export, and for the first time since the plant's inception, this volume of steel ingots were produced,” report said.

According to the report, the company's steel ingot plant was commissioned in March 2018 and can produce more than 1.3 million tons of steel ingots per year, in line with world standards.

The plants of the CMIC are located in the Yazd province (central Iran).

The company's sponge iron plant can produce 1.55 million tons of products a year, and the plant was commissioned in November 2019.
