Turkmenistan to foster entrepreneurship for next 30 years

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15

By Amina Nazarli - Trend:

The state will continue to fully support entrepreneurship, which is one of Turkmenistan's driving forces in the national economy, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Trend reports Turkmenportal.

“In order to increase the potential of small and medium-sized enterprises, we must continue to provide them with state support,” Berdimuhamedov said.

The head of state instructed in 2022 to continue targeted measures to support small and medium-sized businesses and create a modern entrepreneurial sphere.

The main priorities in Turkmenistan's new economic strategy for the next 30 years should be the purposeful use of the national economy's non-state sector's potential.

Among the most important measures should be assisting individuals in discovering new markets and types of product sales, increasing the volume of domestic products, and attracting private producers to the country's food supply.

It was directed to continue the comprehensive implementation of the digital system in trade and entrepreneurship, as well as to employ innovative management methods in the agro-industrial complex reform.

Moreover, the country will encourage the formation of large corporations as well as start-ups.
