The State Property Management Committee held a meeting with participation of high-rank representatives of the Committee and the heads of the regional branches to discuss action plan for 2006. The goal of the plan is to ensure effective and operative fulfillment of functions and liabilities, envisaged in the regulations of the Committee, Trend reports.

One of the priority directions, set in the action plan, is to speed up small privatization, establish joint companies on the base of the state enterprises, as well as privatize government-furnished facilities and lands. 34,000 small enterprises were privatized from 1996, while in 2005 this figure comprised 1,700. It is impossible to set terms for completion of small privatization due to appearance of new small enterprises at privatization of big ones with small enterprises in the balance.

1,500 joint companies were established on the base of state enterprises from 1996.

The task of the employees of the Committee is to ensure effective and purposeful use of state property, elimination of misappropriation of property, as well as illegal use of lands.

The action plan for 2006 was approved by the chairman of the State Property Management Committee on the results of the discussion.
