Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 February / corr. Trend S. Aliyev/ Bos Shelf is modernizing two barges in line with an order from Kazakhstan, the Baku Deep Water Jacket Factory named after Heydar Aliyev said on 25 February where the Bos Shelf construction site is located.
At present the company is carrying out the transfer of assets involved in the project for construction of the platform for the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli deposit. The process will be completed in mid-2008, Shahmar Movsumov, the head of the Azerbaijani Oil Fund said earlier.
Part of the equipment, office equipment, cars and hardware used during the construction of the platform in the Baku Deep Water Jacket Factory will be transferred to the fund.
BP is the operator of the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli deposit. BP subcontractors in the construction of the foot blocks are Bos Shelf and for construction of the upper parts - McDermott.
Construction of the foot blocks and upper parts within the framework of the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli deposit have already been completed.
Some six platforms have been constructed in the plant under the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli deposit, two for Central Azeri, two for West Azeri and East Azeri and one for the deep parts of Guneshli.
Works can be reinstated after 2009. These works may include the second stage of the development of the Shahdeniz gas-condensate field and other new projects.
