Signing the agreement on gas transit between Azerbaijan and Turkey will give a great impetus to the Southern Corridor project designed to diversify sources of energy supplies to Europe, said the U.S. Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Richard Morningstar, who is on visit to Baku.
"Signing the agreement on the volume, cost and transit of gas is very important. The relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are very close, so I believe that this agreement will be signed," said Morningstar, who will stay in Baku by June 3.
