The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) plans to open eight more gas stations in Georgia by late September.
"The stations are currently being constructed," he said. "By late September, we plan to put the eight stations into operation," the source said.
The stations will open in Marneuli, Kakheti, Kutaisi and several other regions.
SOCAR operates 45 gas stations in Georgia. The company hopes to have 60 stations in operation by late this year.
SOCAR Georgia was cofounded by: SOCAR (51 percent), Petro-Trans FZCO (24.5 percent) and Ivan Chkhartishvili (24.5 percent).
