The engineer of the safe navigation team of SOCAR's Kulevi oil terminal took part in training of Hypack corporation, held in Ukraine, a statement posted on the official website of the terminal said.

According to the report, a three-day training workshop covered all aspects of single beam and multibeam hydrographic surveying.

The corporation held an introductory course on Hypack and Hysweep software last year. The engineers process the information received from various devices such as Global Navigation System (GPS) and others via this program.

The terminal was put into operation in summer 2008. Its total capacity is 10 million tons of oil per year, including 3 million tons of oil, 3 million tons of diesel fuel, and 4 million tons of fuel oil.

The terminal can accommodate up to 168 tank cars. The tank farm's total volume is 320,000 cubic meters with the possibility of increasing to 380,000 cubic meters.
