SOCAR's Azerkimya PU (production of chemical products) produced 1.6 million cubic meters of nitrogen in January 2011. It is 31.2 percent more than the same period of 2010, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
There was growth on almost all major types of chemical products in 2010.The decrease was recorded only in the manufacture of isopropylalcohol.

In January, the country produced 630.3 tons of solid polyethylene pipes, tubes, hoses, that is by 6.3 times more than the same period of 2010. Also, the republic produced 10 tons of porous polyurethane plates and strips, which is 50 percent lower than the same period of 2010.
