In March, SOCAR will sell 165,000 tons from the Russian port of Novorossiysk. Oil from Novorossiysk will be shipped in two batches, 85,000 tons and 80,000 tons.
About 3.62 million tons of oil will be shipped in March from Novorossiysk.
Today while transporting the oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk, Azerbaijan receives Urals oil due to mixing with the oil of other producers (in the port of Novorossiysk).
In 2010, SOCAR transported about 2.2 million tons of oil via the northern pipeline Baku-Novorossiysk, 2.48 million tons - in 2009, 1.2 million tons in 2008. In 2007, roughly 1.2 million tons of oil were exported via this route. It is similar with the index of 2006. In 2005, the export hit 1.6 million tons via Baku-Novorossiysk.
