Kazakhstan has not fulfilled its plan for oil production for 2011, the Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan Sauat Mynbayev said on Wednesday during the selector government meeting in Astana.
"Crude oil and condensate production is at a level less than planned in 2011," Mr Mynbayev said. He added that, Ozenmunaygaz strikes and unrest in Zhanaozen reduced oil production by 14.8 per cent.
Tengizshevroil had also been forced to reduce the volume of production because of an emergency stop of the two integrated production lines in December.
At the same time Mr Mynbayev said that Kazakhsthad increased oil and gas condensate production this year compared to 2010.
