State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported985.4 thousand tons of oil through the northern pipeline Baku-Novorossiysk compared to more than 1.08 million tones in January-June 2011, SOCAR said on Monday.
According to the report, 164.66 thousand tons of oil was exported from Novorossiysk in June compared to about 164,000 tons in June 2011.
SOCAR exported a total of 1.99 million tones in 2011 compared to 2.24 million tones in 2010
SOCAR exported about 2.5 million tones in 2009 compared to 1.2 million tones in 2008. About 1.2 million tons of oil was exported in 2007, which is the same as in 2006. Exports amounted to 1.6 million tones through the Baku - Novorossiysk in 2005.
SOCAR carries out transshipment of oil from its own fields through Novorossiysk, as well as oil of joint ventures and operating companies operating onshore Azerbaijan.
The operator of Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline was the AIOC before the end of 2007, which gave these functions to SOCAR.
