The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has started to construct a new filling station in Baku, a source at the company told Trend.
The new filling station under the brand name of SOCAR will be located on Darnagul highway, according to the source.
"Another filling station will be constructed in Nobel Avenue in the future," said the source, adding that currently, the work on preparing the area for construction is underway.
Currently, SOCAR is engaged in the retail sale of petroleum products through its filling stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland.
At present, 16 filling stations of the State Oil Company operate in the country.
