Kazakhstan reveals volumes of oil production, export

The volume of export of Kazakh oil since the beginning of 2018 amounted to 24.1 million tons, Energy minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev said at the meeting of the Kazakh government, Kazakh media reported.

The volume of oil exports since the beginning of 2018 exceeded the same indicator of 2017 by 4.3 percent, according to the ministry’s data.

The minister also noted that since the beginning of the year, the volume of oil and condensate production amounted to 29.9 million tons, which shows an increase of 6 percent compared to the same period of 2017.

He also stressed that oil production for three major projects in Kazakhstan amounted to 17.9 million tons.

"Since the beginning of the year until today, the situation on the market of petroleum products is stable, there is no shortage of fuels and lubricants. The quantity of fuel residues is enough to cover the domestic market demand in a monthly volume," said Bozumbaev.

The minister added that the oil production at the Kashagan field amounted to 3.8 million tons in the mentioned period, at the Tengiz field - 9.9 million tons, at the Karachaganak field - 4.2 million tons.

“The volume of oil refining in Kazakhstan since the beginning of 2018 amounted to 5.1 million tons, which is a 12 percent increase year over year. The volume of production of petroleum products at Kazakhstan’s three oil refineries amounted to 3.6 million tons, which is a 7 percent increase year over year,” the minister said.
