Share of natural gas in electricity production in Turkey grows

The share of natural gas in electricity production increased by 0.63 percent in Turkey and 25,935.07 megawatts of electricity were produced in July 2018, according to the report of the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

The share of electricity produced using natural gas is 31.51 percent, according to the report.

In July 2018, a capacity of 82,303.96 megawatts was ensured in Turkey as a whole, which is 4.42 percent more than in the same month of 2017.
