Iran’s oil refineries expand production

Daily refining capacity of the oil refineries in Iran has increased from 1.7 million barrels to 2.3 million barrels over the past seven years (since March 21, 2013), Trend reports citing National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company’s official website.

According to the report, this is an increase of 43 percent in oil refining in Iran.

“In addition, daily gasoline production in Iran has increased from 56 million liters to 115 million liters during 7 years,” the report said.

According to the report, Iran did not produce gasoline in accordance with the Euro 4 standard seven years ago.

At the same time, daily diesel production has increased from 94 million liters to 125 million liters over 7 years.

“Seven years ago, Iran did not produce diesel in accordance with the Euro 4 standard. However, the daily production of this diesel increased to 54 million liters during 7 years with producing of gasoline in accordance with the Euro 4 standard.
