Construction of technological structures designed to increase the volume and types of products that are competitive on world markets is underway on the territory of Turkmenistan's Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, Trend reports with reference to Nebit-Gaz electronic newspaper.
Within the framework of this project, two new gas turbine power plants with a design capacity of 70 Megawatts/hour will be built at the complex, while the existing power plant will be reconstructed.
The power plants will be equipped with modern equipment and will be put into operation in 18 months.
The construction of the facilities was entrusted to the Turkish Çalik Enerji company, the report says.
As reported, the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries produced 476,102 tons of light and heavy fractions of gasoline, 349,261 tons of lighting kerosene and kerosene for jet engines, 902,759 tons of diesel fuel, 1.8 million tons of fuel oil from January through August of 2020.
The produced oil products are sold both on the domestic market of the country and exported.
