Some 29,622 tons of RON-80 motor gasoline was put up at Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange (UZEX) for the period from February 15 to 23, Trend reports with reference to UZEX.
According to UZEX, 9,574 tons or 32.3 percent of RON-80 motor gasoline were sold at the exchange trading. On average, 23 buyers took part in the exchange trades daily.
It was noted that during the period under review, against the background of an increase in the starting price, the daily average price of RON-80 gasoline also increased from 6,084 soums ($0.58) to 6,376 soums ($0.6) per ton, or by 4.8 percent. Thus, gasoline was sold at the exchange trading practically at its starting price.
In addition, the weekly weighted average price of motor gasoline RON-80 for the period under review amounted to 6,153 soums ($0.58) per ton of gasoline, RON-91-7,488 soums ($0.71) per ton.
According to the information, one ton of gasoline averages about 1,293-1,370 liters.
Previously, the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan announced a further increase in prices for RON-80 gasoline.
In addition, Uzbekneftegaz planned to reduce the cost of RON-92 gasoline.
