SOCAR AQS plans to complete and hand over three wells at West Absheron field in Azerbaijan this year, the company told Trend.
“Installation works are underway for additional four wells to be drilled from the deep-water stationary platform #10 at West Absheron field. We plan to complete the drilling of three wells - #147 with design depth of 820 meters, as well as #148 and #149 with design depth of 950 meters each – and hand them over to the client this year,” said the company.
Moreover, SOCAR AQS is expected to start the drilling of well #150 with design depth of 820 meters in 2021.
West Absheron field is located in the Caspian Sea, in 65 kilometers from Baku. The field is developed by Absheronneft oil and gas extraction department of Azneft production union.

In 2017, SOCAR AQS was certified as meeting the requirements of the API Spec Q2 Quality Management System Standard for the Provision of Integrated Offshore Oil & Gas Drilling & Well Services.
