TEHRAN, Iran, April 20. Iran`s Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabian announced the opening of several development projects to solve the water supply problem of about 300 cities in the country, Trend reports citing ILNA.
Mehrabian made the remarks on the sidelines of the meeting with the Civil Commission of the Iranian Parliament.
According to the plan presented to the parliament, approximately 90 percent of people living in urban areas should get access to safely managed drinking water.
According to the minister, the Energy Ministry has established a specialized working group known as the Jihad Water Supply Camp, to manage the rural areas access to safe drinking water.
