BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. The volume of oil production in Kazakhstan decreased in June 2022, Trend reports via the Bureau of National statistics under the Agency for Strategic planning and reforms of Kazakhstan.

According to the bureau, this figure amounted to 6.02 million tons, down by 1.5 percent compared to June 2021 and 7.5 percent less than in May 2022.

From January through June 2022, 36.7 million tons of oil were produced, which is 1.2 more than in the same period last year.

A total of 6.02 million tons were exported from Kazakhstan in June 2022, which means a decrease of 1.5 percent compared to the same month in 2021 and a growth of 4.5 percent compared to May 2022.

Exports of Kazakh oil from January through June 2022 amounted to 36.1 million tons, up by 9.7 percent in annual terms.

The oil wasn’t sold on the domestic market in June 2022.

Sales in the domestic market amounted to 584,200 tons of oil from January through June 2022, which is 82.4 percent less than in 1H2021.
