BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. Iran's Sabalan Petrochemical Company’s methanol production is expected to reach approximately 1.4 million tons for the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), CEO of Iran's Sepehr Energy Holding, Ali Yari said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

The CEO noted that the Sabalan Petrochemical Company produced 700,000 tons of methanol over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).

Yari added that in order to increase production in the current year, problems related to fuel supply of the company's plant will be eliminated and a number of new reforms will be carried out in production.

He also said that the production potential of Sabalan Petrochemical Company increased to 85 percent in the last Iranian year.

Iran’s Sabalan Petrochemical Company was established in 2010. The construction of the company’s plant cost $406 million. At present, the company has the capacity to produce 1.65 million tons of methanol per year. On average, the company's annual sales are reportedly to be $412 million.
