ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, March 7. Türkiye purchased about 95,008 tons of marine fuel from Turkmenistan for the entire year 2023, Trend reports.
According to Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), during the specified period, Türkiye's imports of marine fuel from Turkmenistan were 6.1 times greater than the imported volume in 2022, which amounted to 15,540 tons.
Furthermore, in December of this year alone, Türkiye imported 7,861 tons of marine fuel from Turkmenistan.
At the same time, the volume of marine fuel purchased by Türkiye from Turkmenistan in 2022 is also more than 7.5 times greater than in the corresponding period of 2021, when this amount was 2,060 tons.
Meanwhile, the expansion of economic ties between Turkmenistan and Türkiye is a dynamic and strategically important event, reflecting the extensive economic ties between the two countries.
Both countries are actively diversifying their trade partnerships, strengthening cooperation, and exploring new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
