ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 25. Kazakhstan increased oil exports to foreign countries by 7.5 percent from January through March this year in annual terms, Trend reports.
The amount increased by 6 percent to $10.8 billion in monetary terms, as reported by Kazakhstan, during the defined time, with exports of more than 17.8 million tons of oil.
Furthermore, Italy remained the main buyer with 7 million tons (increased by 12.4 percent).
Oil supplies to France increased significantly - 1.6 times (1.6 million tons), China - 1.6 times (1.4 million tons), Greece - 1.9 times (1 million tons), the US - 3.5 times (464,200 tons), India - 1.7 times (220,800 tons), and the UK 62.2 times (186,900 tons).
Furthermore, in the first quarter of this year, Kazakhstan shipped more than 400,000 tons of oil to Germany, despite the fact that there were no exports to this country in the same period last year.
Kazakhstan's oil production and export development have been pivotal to its economy. The country holds significant oil reserves, primarily in the Tengiz, Karachaganak, and Kashagan fields. Efforts focused on attracting foreign investment and expertise, leading to partnerships with major international oil companies.
