The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) started drilling of the production well N449 in the framework of the Gum-Deniz oil field development, SOCAR told Trend. The well’s design depth is 3700 meters. Drilling works commenced this week. The daily boring speed is
80 meters. The works are performed by the Administration of Drilling Works (ADW) Gum Adasi by the order of the Oil and Gas Producing Unit (OGPU) Gum Adasi.
Apart from this well three more exploration wells are currently being drilled on Gum Deniz.” Drilling of the well N 463 at the depth of 3252 meters suspended at present due the repeated development. The design depth of N 463 is 3300 metersВ", - SOCAR pointed out.
Gum Adasi ADW commissioned 2 new wells since the start of the year. The stock of OGPU is about 74 wells.
The Gum-Deniz oil field development was launched in 1955. Along with these wells ADW Gum Adasi conducts also drilling on the Hovsan and Bahar fields.
