JSC Azenerji commissioned first two power blocks at Nakhchivan gas turbine power plant, Trend reports with reference to press service of the company. Electricity produced at this plant is currently supplied to the republics power system.
This power plant today produces nearly 420k kWh a day. Total daily power consumption in NAR totals 3mln kWh.
There are in total 4 power blocks at this power plant. Azenerji upgrades it in cooperation with Enerco of Germany, GTT of Italy and ABB of Austria.
Assembly of equipment at other two blocks is complete to date. By the end of the month all four blocks are to be commissioned. These operations will result in production of nearly 1mln kWh by this power plant. Up to now NAR was almost fully supplied from Turkey and Iran.
